History

On a rainy day in February of 1992, Ken Graton moved to Oregon to assist a friend with a nonprofit boys home known then as the Timothy House. Ken began with the intent of working with the boys to develop their skills in the landscaping industry. Soon after he was approached by Greg Johnson, a local business owner, who offered him his few accounts to start his own landscaping business as he was leaving the industry to pursue his passion in ministry. This was the beginning of Ken's first company, Timothy House Lawn and Garden Care.

With a little less than a month before getting married, Ken took on the business full-time with only a beat up, borrowed mower and a weed-eater. Out of a belief that great service and honest, hard work would gather and keep great clients Ken and his wife, Lisa, continue to build a progressive landscape company on old fashion values — one new client at a time.

The company has changed both its name and logo through the years from Timothy House Lawn and Garden Care to Graton’s Lawns Unlimited and, in 2008, to Graton’s Custom Landscapes. We have grown from a Maintenance company to a “full-service” Landscape Company offering all facets of landscape install and service. We now offer our services to large corporations, general contractors, landscape architects and the homeowners of fine homes throughout Lane, Linn and Benton Counties.
